Wow.. super fresh, filling, and cheap with friendly service. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered a single carnitas taco which as a nice surprise came with some chips and fresh tomato salsa. The taco was stuffed to overflowing so I'm glad I only ordered one because I would not have been able to finish two! The veggies were fresh, you could see the owner/cook chopping and cooking the meat right there. Meat was juicy and flavorful, salsa was on point.

My husband ordered a wet shredded beef burrito plate which came with beans and rice, chips and salsa. I tried some of his plate and yeah.. if I'd been hungry enough for all that deliciousness I would have ordered that. Just so good!

    Excellent overall!

This place is a *national* treasure, especially for their shredded beef wet burrito-- a must. I've come here since I was a kid and when I had my first non-La Gordita wet burrito, it was a disruptive awakening. Didn't realize how good I had it with La Gordita until then! After trying wet burritos at other places in CA and across the country, La Gordita's remains the best. Taste, portion size-- everything.

In the advent of gimmicky and excessive food adoration, this place carries no fuss. It keeps it real, humble and delicious.

The couple who owns it has kept the shop for over 3 decades and remains unfailingly courteous and generous, despite how challenging it must be to keep a shop running for so long with their *incomparably low* prices.

    Pros + reccos:
    - SUPER affordable. There is no other local place as affordable and delicious as them. The shredded beef wet burrito I'm talking about? Massive and under $10.
    - Salsa's dope
    - Ample, free parking
    - Hospitable and generous owners

    Cons:
    - None. This place is a must, especially for their wet burrito. I rarely carry cash with me but 100% worth a run to the local ATM

This man at la Gordita restaurant is so nice
He's trying to do it all

    I got hard shell tacos

The shredded beef in brisket my favorite and the chicken breast is tasty
The tacos were very good the rice is very good

This guy would be so busy if he would do Ubereats or grub hub he would be crazy busy.

I've been coming here since I was a toddler and the same owner works here everyday. The food is so delicious. It's legit authentic Mexican food!! Full of flavor and seasoning, never dry or bland! If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend coming here. the service is quick and food is always good!!

I phoned my order in while on my lunch break. I didn't know it was cash only so I had to go get cash (on my lunch break). The man said it would be ready in 10 min. When I arrived 20 min later, my order was not ready. In fact, my order was apparently forgotten about because the man quickly grabbed a styrofoam container and quickly started dumping my food in the container. He then ran over to the grill, tossed two tortillas down, then grabbed the shredded cheese from the container  rolled it up in the tortilla, poured enchilada sauce and more cheese all over the food and MICROWAVED my food in front of me. I didn't want to even pay for the food. I wanted to leave;but the older man was running the place by himself and he seemed like a sweet old man. So I took the food, but I cannot eat it. I'm so disappointed. He was also handling the cash and food. No gloves, no hand washing. I just wasted $8.
